AI SEO Meta Scorer (“the extension”) is a browser tool that helps you audit and improve on-page SEO metadata. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles and where it goes. The developer of this extension does not operate any server and does not collect, receive, store, or sell your data.

What the extension accesses

When you click the “Scan & Optimize” button, the extension reads three pieces of text from the page you are currently viewing:

The page’s main heading (its H1)
The page title (the text shown on the browser tab)
The page’s meta description

It also reads the page URL to give the AI model context. No other page content, browsing history, cookies, or personal information is accessed. Data is read only on your explicit click, and only from the active tab.

Where that data goes

The extension sends those short text snippets to the single AI provider you selected and configured in Settings. Depending on your choice, that is one of: Moonshot AI (Kimi), NVIDIA NIM, OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, or a local Ollama server running on your own machine. The request is authenticated with the API key you provide. If you use Ollama locally, no data leaves your computer at all.

Your use of a given provider is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy and terms. The extension does not route your data through the developer or any intermediary.

Data stored on your device

Your selected provider, optional model name, endpoint, and API key are stored using the browser’s built-in extension storage (chrome.storage.sync) so your settings persist and, if you are signed into Chrome, sync across your own devices via your Google account. These values are never transmitted to the developer.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising.
We do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to generating SEO suggestions.
We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
We do not track you, run analytics, or use remote/hosted code.

Data retention and deletion

Because the developer stores nothing, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. To remove your locally stored settings and API keys, open the extension’s Settings and clear the fields, or remove the extension from your browser’s Extensions page.
